Just three months
after the formation of United Autosports and less than one month since
the American-owned, British-based team took delivery of its 2010-specification
Audi R8 LMS sports cars, the Zak Brown and Richard Dean led outfit made
a promising race début today (Easter Monday, April 5).

Audi R8 LMS sportscars. American Zak Brown (Carmel, IN), the Chairman

Companc drove their Remington sponsored #23 Audi with Michael Guasch
(Walnut Creek, CA) the sole driver of the "sister" #22 Molecule
R8 LMS. Guasch's fellow American co-driver, Mark Patterson, was unable
to attend due to work commitments.

Mike Guasch, the
racer from Walnut Creek, California who won the 2009 Star Mazda Championship
presented by Goodyear 'Master Series' title will switch from open-wheel
racing to sports cars in 2010 as co-driver of the #22 United Autosports
/ MOLECULE Labs / MG4 Manufacturing Audi R8 LMS car competing in the
FIA GT3 European Championship.
His co-driver on the two-car United Autosport team will be Mark Patterson, another past Star Mazda Master Series competitor who has been running for the last 5 years in the Grand Am Rolex series driving a Daytona Prototype. The duo will share the car in 12 1-hour events held in six countries, including Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Portugal and Italy during a season that stretches from May 2 to October 31.
02-26-2010 Sonoma, CA: Day one of final pre-season testing on US soil.
Mike continues his preseason testing program with day one of a final two day track program at his home track at Infineon Raceway in CA. Mike is running for two days an Audi R8 V10 to continue his preparation for the upcoming season.
This will be the final test on US soil in preparation for his 2010 FIA GT3 program in Europe before he is heading to Algarve, Portugal on March 8th for the first test in his actual race Audi R8 GT3 LMS.
"Infineon Raceway is my home track and I have tested and raced here endless times, so I can totally focus on the car and how it feels and don't have to learn the track first". Mike explained.
The test will be completed today February 26th at Infineon before taking a week off to recharge his batteries when the season gets really going in the second week of March 2010.
02-17-2010 Phoenix, AZ : Testing continues in preparation of the start of the European Season.
Mike continues his
preseason testing program with a two day track program at the Bondurant
High Performance Driving School in Phoenix AZ where he took a Chevrolet
Corvette Z51 Coupe to the track.
The 430 HP Corvette Z51 Coupe was equipped with a six speed paddle shift
transmission similar to the Audi R8 LMS Mike will be racing in Europe
this year.
"With our actual race
car still being prepared in Germany, driving any powerful and heavy
sports car is currently my best option to get prepared". Mike explained.
Mike will continue his testing later this week and next with an Audi
R8 V10 at Infineon Raceway in CA.

Added To Audi-Supported FIA GT3 Team. A third driver has joined the
United Autosports two-car team for the 2010 FIA GT3 European Championship
season, it was announced today. American, Michael Guasch joins previously
announced co-drivers American Zak Brown and Pablo Perez Companc of Argentina.

2009 IMSA Star Mazda Master Class Champion announced today that he will
switch to GT cars in 2010. Guasch and his Phenom Racing Group, Inc.
is joining forces with newly announced team United Autosports to run
and Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the European FIA GT3 Championship in 2010.

08-19-2009 Benicia, CA : Molecule Racing Driver Michael Guasch Clinches Master Championship at Trois-Rivieres.
Michael Guasch had
a personal reason to celebrate at Trois-Rivieres as he locked up the
Master Class Championship, for drivers aged 45 and older, with a stellar
drive on the famed street circuit. In recording his sixth class victory
of the
season Guasch has built an insurmountable championship lead with three
races remaining on the schedule.

Driving the #91 Molecule
Labs JDC Motorsports Pro Formula Mazda, Guasch would out-qualify and
outrace

tie for tenth place in the overall championship.
