Pittsburg, CA – Coming off a successful test at Daytona’s Roar Before the 24, reigning PC champion Mike Guasch has committed to competition in the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup (NAEC). Returning to the championship PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports team, Guasch will split driving duties with the recently announced season-long pairing of Gunnar Jeannette and Frankie Montecalvo in the #52 Molecule Prototype Challenge car.

“I was really blown away with the test in Daytona. The crowd, the track, the competition…sports car racing has really taken a step forward,” Guasch remarked. “We won at Sebring last year and committing to the big endurance races really suites my plans for the year. With the team Bobby Oregel is putting together, I know we can positioned to win.

The Tequila Patron NAEC kicks off with the Rolex 24 at Daytona followed up by the 12 Hours of Sebring, Six Hours of the Glen and wraps up with the famed 10-hour Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. With Jeannette joining the fold, the team now boasts two PC drivers’ champions for the upcoming season.
